The next tell-all book about the British royal family is in the pipeline. “Endgame – Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival” won’t officially be released until November 28. But the first extracts already make clear the tone that author Omid Scobie adopts in his book.
The journalist is considered a close confidant of Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan. “Endgame” is already his second book about royalty and there was already a lot of buzz with its predecessor “Finding Freedom.”
In a court case, it emerged that Harry had ordered his then press secretary, Jason Knauf, to work with Scobie. Knauf produced emails showing that Meghan provided him with background information to share with Scobie and his co-author Carolyn Durand. Meghan, who had always denied cooperation, had to back down at this point.
It has been speculated for some time that Scobie might reveal inside knowledge of the Sussexes’ inner circle in his latest book. The first excerpts from “Endgame” now confirm this. The author makes serious accusations against the royal family. A source close to the royals is now commenting on this.
Royals: scandal after the death of the Queen
On Wednesday, People published the first excerpts from “Endgame.” And they directly address an explosive topic: the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September 2022 and the royal reaction. Scobie describes how King Charles III. Harry called him and advised him to come to Scotland immediately.
Prince William was therefore organizing the trip to Balmoral. “Harry sent a text message to his brother asking how he and Kate were going to get to Scotland and if they could travel together. He didn’t get a response,” says “Endgame.”

The Sussexes “were not informed” by other family members and had to “work in the dark.” Harry was told that William had already arranged a flight.
“But he also couldn’t talk to anyone about joining the flight.” A source close to the Sussexes, whom Scobie quotes in his book, said it was “shocking to witness.” Therefore, Harry was left completely alone in the situation.

Internal attacks on Scobie
The author then makes direct accusations against Prince William. There were still seats available on his private jet. However, William did not respond to Harry’s text messages about this. “‘William ignored him,’ said a source close to the family. ‘It was clear he didn’t want to see his brother,'” Scobie writes in “Endgame.”
An informant now speaks to the British newspaper “Mirror” about extracts from Scobie’s book. “You get the impression: whatever happens behind closed doors: when it comes to the royal family, at some point it will come to light. Even in a time of such sadness.” The source accuses Scobie:
“Nothing is off limits anymore and it seems that William and Kate are the author’s main target.”
It would have only taken a few months for “old wounds to be reopened,” continues the anonymous source.
More revelations about royalty
It’s been clear for a few weeks now that the Royals are not going to do well at all according to Scobie’s book. At that time, Scobie published the table of contents for “Endgame” in X. The chapter titles gave an idea of the direction the book was taking.
For example, one is titled “Handled with kid gloves: Prince William, the heir to the throne,” while another is titled: “Ready for battle: Prince Harry.” Even Charles, as the index suggests, doesn’t come out of the book well at all. Scobie will most likely make more accusations against the royals in the book.
